End Of Year Gaming Day & Lounge Party

We're having the final gaming day of the term, we'll be having consoles and tvs, hopefully the projector too. As-well as cake, sweets and lots of chatting. Maybe even the odd game of musical chairs! Note this is a Saturday NOT A SUNDAY

We're actually in Game On, rather than the Lounge, due to the kids crèche. Damn those pesky kids.

Date: Saturday the 6th of June

Place: Game On

Time: 1230-2100

This will also be the last chance for you to bring your hoodie money without having to pay extra!! Please do.

We'll be needing people to bring all the TV, consoles, games, and controllers they can muster!! (well within reason). If you can come and afford to bring stuff down, please, please, please do. If you live relatively near uni, and need to help carrying some stuff down, give us an email at animesoc@gmail.com or give me a ring on 07916323835, and we'll see if we can arrange for someone to help. If you plan on bringing a lot of stuff, and live slightly further away- we *may* be able to reimburse you for a taxi.

Please bear in mind multi-player games will inevitably take priority on Gaming Day, and this does not mean WoW. If we get enough people interested, we will start running tournaments of the more popular multi-player games brought, on the projector! (i suspect mariokart/soul calibur/guilty gear/smash brothers would be afoot...as long as these were brought...if the sufficient amount of gear is brought down, we may be able to run a link cable halo/FPS tournament too)

Also, while we will be bringing cakes and sweets- if you can bake/make things or feel particularly generous with your buying, please feel free to bring things to share with people. It's the end of term people, lets go out in an AnimeSoc sugar-filled bang!!

If your certain you can bring something, posting it here would be useful so we can plan our setup/avoid over-redundancy

Just to add, it's not just video games! We'll have card games, board games, all sorts of games, so if you have any non-video-game you want to coerce people into playing, you'll definitely find people willing to play, so bring it along!
